ARTIST STATEMENT “My name is Clara and I create unique visionary paintings from the kaleidoscope in my mind. I’m a self taught acrylic artist based in Jasper Canada. I love bright colours and that comes across in my paintings, which are colourful, detailed and completely one of a kind. My art is meant to catch your eye and open your mind, and I’m excited to share it with the world.” ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Clara Burstrom is a visionary artist who creates acrylic paintings. She grew up on a farm in the Canadian Rocky Mountains where her family has lived for generations. From an early age, she showed a special interest in nature and loved to draw and create fantasy worlds in her solitude. It was at this age when she first remembers seeing the colours, which are clairvoyant visuals she sees in her mind. She started her painting journey in 2018 as a way to express her unique and sensitive way of experiencing the world, and is finally sharing her art as an emerging artist. Over the years, her paintings have evolved to convey abstract concepts through the channel of psychedelic art. Clara is currently running a business selling paintings and prints, and is displaying with The Jasper Art Gallery. She is based out of Jasper but travels to music festivals in the summer to sell art and connect with like minded individuals.
